Project Neptune

IT hardware for students and members of the University of Basel

Project NEPTUN is a program for all members of Swiss Universities and institutions of higher education. Twice a year they give out recommendations for powerful high-quality laptops, tablets and accessories that have undergone careful testing and manufacturer independent evaluations and then will be offered at a favorable price. The offer is for private use. The offer does not reflect the portfolio of areas managed by IT Services.

The web shops are open during two sales windows (one in spring and one in autumn).

The links to the corresponding web shops are only activated when the respective sales window opens. Ordering IT hardware is only possible during the two sales windows.

Damage to a Neptun device

If you require hardware or software support or wish to report damage, please contact the manufacturers exclusively. You will receive the necessary information on delivery of the device or on the Neptun website under the heading "Support".

Support for students (NOT for employees!) with a Neptun device

For students who own a Neptun device (also for older devices), a staff member of the Neptun project offers support especially to students of the University of Basel.

Please make an individual appointment by e-mail. Appointments take place at Petersgraben 45.
