Maintenance Network 17.-18.05.2025
We inform you of the next quarterly maintenance window of the university data network which will take place between Saturday, May 17, 2025, 7:00 am till Sunday, May 18, 11:55 pm.
Due to significant changes and testing on the Internet router and DMZ network, there will be a network outage on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. for approximately 2 hours during maintenance work. During this time, it will not be possible to access university services from outside the university (even via VPN) or to access the Internet from the university network. This also affects Wi-Fi (including Eduroam), which will not have an Internet connection during this period.
The DMZ servers will be partially shut down starting Saturday at 8 a.m. and restarted after the network outage (around 11 a.m. - estimated time). This means that all public web servers, such as www.unibas.ch, fortbildung.unibas.ch, or Adam.unibas.ch, will not be accessible during this period.
Those responsible for the DMZ servers, as well as those responsible for systems connected to the Internet router, have already been contacted.
