To ensure better protection for our Active Directory domain controllers, a firewall will be deployed in front of these systems. As part of this change, there will be an outage on May 18, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m., which is expected to last 15–30 minutes.

Systems and services that depend on or are affected by this change, as far as we are aware:

• Exchange
• UNIprint (Scan/Print)
• File Services (ITS and sciCORE)
• Domain-joined clients and servers
• New logins to services.unibas.ch, VPN, and SaaS applications such as Adobe, MS Teams, Zoom, etc.
• PAM
• “Anything that authenticates against AD”
